PROFESSIONAL CURRICULUM VITAE


He attends all courses of secondary education at the Carlo Alberto Real College of Moncalieri, Torino (Italy).

In July 1970 he obtains the School-Leaving Certificate (S.L.C.) in a Classical Educational Liceo with marks 54/60.

In September 1970 he enrols in the Medical University of Torino.

Beginning from the second year of the Educational Career, in addition to the teaching provided for the curriculum for the medical and surgical degree, he attends as Fellow the Ward of Heart Surgery (Director: Prof. Angelo Actis-Dato, President of the Italian Association of Heart-Surgery), carrying on function in the operating room and in reanimation, from 1973 to 1976.

In 1978 he passes the final examination of the degree at the University of Torino and he obtains the Degree of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery with full marks of law, discussing a graduation thesis.

In 1978 he is qualified to the profession of Surgeon after the State Examination passed at the University of Torino in the 2nd session for the year 1977/78.

From November 1978 to June 1979 he attends as a Fellow the Ward of Haemodynamics and Cardio-vascular Surgery at the S. Luke's Episcopal Hospital of Houston, Texas (Director: Prof. Danton Cooley / Paolo Angelini).

In October 1979 he enrols in the Specialization School in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Pierre and Marie Curie University of Paris.

From November 1979 to December 1981 he is assistant at the Institute Maxillo-Facial Surgery of the “Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris where he carries on activity of continuative teaching.

In 1981 he passes the final examination for the obtaining of the Specialization Maxillo-Facial at the “Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris.

From January 1982 to March 1985 he is responsible for teaching at the Board in Rehabilitation and Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Prothesis at “Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris with theoretical and practical teaching functions (Director: Prof. M. Benoist).

2nd of July 1982 he obtains the Post-grade Master in Rehabilitation and Maxillo-Facial Prothesis at the “Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris.

From 1983 he is Director of the C.S.M. Institute for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Torino - Italy - where he co-ordinates and supervises a team of collaborators.

7th March 1983 he obtains the Post-grade Master in Maxillo-Facial Radiology at the Paris XI University.

15th June 1983 he obtains the Post-grade Master in the Maxillo-Facial and Reparatory Plastic Surgery of the Face at the “Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris.

19th May 1984 he obtains the Diploma in up-to-date Oral Carcinology at the Pascale Institute of
Tumours of Naples.

2nd July 1984 he obtain the Master in Oral and Stomatologic Surgery at the ”Pierre and Marie Curie” University of Paris.

From September 1984 to November 1988 he is assistant at the Institute Plastic Surgery at the “Foch” Hospital of Paris (Direct.: Prof. D. Krastinova).

20th October 1985 he obtains the Specialization in the Maxillo-Facial and Reparatory Plastic Surgery at the University of Naples.

From November 1988 to june 1989 he enrols at Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Department of Pavia Medical University in order to obtain the Board in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery (Direct.: Prof. Giorgio Boggio-Robutti).

18th May 1989 he obtains the Post-grade Board in Plastic Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Pavia.

27th May 1989 he obtains the Diploma of Specialization in Plastic Aesthetic Surgery at Planas Institute in Barcelona -Spain - (Director: Prof. Jaime Planas).

In 1989 he is nominated Professor under Contract to give post-grade courses at the Master in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Naples (Direct.: Prof. Costantino Giardino).

In February 1990 he is elected President of the Italian Society of Lipoplasty for three years 1990/92.

From 1993 he is Member of several Technical Commissions of the European Community (environment, cultural, instruction )

In 1995 he is elected Special Scientific Advisor of the American Ultrasonic Task Force, an organization composed by the four principal American Societies of Plastic Surgery (ASPRS, ASAPS, LSNA, PSEF), destined to appraise the ultrasonic technologies (UAL) and to organize certified courses of formation for all plastic surgeons of the United States.

From 1995 he intensifies his congressional and didactics activity, devoting big part of his time to the teaching and the layout of numerous scientific jobs published on the most important specialized magazines of the sector, taking part as Official Speaker and often as Honour Guest to over 350 International Congresses in over 40 Countries.

In October 1997 he enrols him in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Torino with the purpose to deepen the essential theoretical knowledge to the development of the ultrasonic technologies, taking different examinations of the course of degree.

From 1997 to 1999 he is" Visiting Professor" at  different prestigious American Universities: " Vanderbilt University" (Nashville - Tennessee), " Washington University" (Saint Louis - Missouri) and UCLA (Los Angeles – California).

In 2000 he is named Professor under Contract at the institute of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetics Surgery of the University in Padova (Dir.: Prof. Franco Mazzoleni).

From February 2001 he is advisor at the institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the University of Padova for the Ultrasonic Surgery of the obesity (Dir.: Prof. Franco Mazzoleni).

In September 2007 he is named Professor under Contract at the Institute of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetics Surgery of the University of Genova (Dir.: Prof. Pierluigi Santi).
